For a 鈥淔ree World鈥: Mexican Americans in Texas State Prisons During WWII with George T. D铆az

Date: Thursday, March 5, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.
Location: Wayne A. Reaud Building, Reaud Event Space

Dr. Díaz will discuss his research on the incarceration of ethnic Mexicans in the Texas prison system during World War II. These prisoners asserted their American identity and commitment to the war effort in order to overcome the double stigma they faced. Email Security Enhancement on March 2

On March 2, the IT division will be implementing a new security product to protect against Spam and Phishing emails.

During testing, this product achieved a very high detection accuracy and an extremely low false-positive rate. As with any new security product, there is a slight chance that some detections may be incorrect.

If, by chance, an email you are expecting is not in your Inbox or Junk Email folder, please report it to servicedesk@lamar.edu so that the message can be released, and future messages like this will be marked as safe and delivered to you. If you believe the message was incorrectly delivered to the Junk Email folder, you can move it to your inbox to help train the product for future messages.
