Inspiring STEM
Inspiring STEM Series Presentation Featuring Dr. Iv谩n Ojeda-Ruiz

The Title III Office launched the Inspiring STEM Series to engage students through inspiring STEM presentations and real-world research applications. Our inaugural presentation features Dr. Iván Ojeda-Ruiz (Mathematics) and student researchers Kamaile Hernandez-Linkee and Carlo Silva.

Department of Theatre & Dance Presents: Eye of God

In a small Oklahoma town, an innocent girl (Ainsley) marries a just-released convict (Jack), whom she's corresponded for three years. Jack's never told her why he went to jail, and with his newfound religion he says it doesn't matter. After Jack's parole office visits, she begins to have doubts. The Office of Undergraduate Research Annual Orientation Session & S.U.R.F. Symposium

All undergraduate students who want to get involved in sponsored research and all faculty willing to mentor undergraduates in research are cordially invited to attend the O.U.R. Orientation, and learn about the O.U.R. grants, student travel support, workshops, and the O.U.R. conferences hosted at LU. 

Additionally, all students, faculty and staff at Lamar are invited to attend the S.U.R.F. Symposium, and learn about some of the exciting research projects conducted by our undergrads over the past summer at Lamar U. and in other U.S. universities.

HR Support Drop-In Session: NEOED Learn Training

Reminder: ERS Dental Plans to Transition to Humana 9/1/26

Humana is getting ready to take over as the new third party administrator of the State of Texas Dental ChoiceSM Plan (PPO) and HumanaDental Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) plan. The current administrator, Delta Dental, will continue to manage the plans until Aug. 31, 2026.

Excellence in Assessment Grant - Call for Submissions

Deadline to submit: Friday, Sept. 18, 11:59 p.m.

The Excellence in Assessment Grant opens for its third and final year to support innovative, high-impact projects that strengthen student learning and institutional effectiveness. Faculty and staff are encouraged to submit proposals that advance assessment, scalability, and long-term impact.
